This painting took the last half of the semester to complete. I still wanted to do more with it, but I just don't think I can get to it.

It isn't the same thing to see the painting this way, especially since it is fairly large, and the photo couldn't get the color quite right.

Amazing, I'm glad you also submited all the details, it really alouds you to appreciate it better.

You really feel inside the picture thanks to that fish eye effect, color, composition and the big amount of details also play a big part on that.

And it also gives a strange sensation since the place it's empty, it's like if you knew the place but at the same time you don't.

Great work. :+fav:

I am fascinated by this one, even more than usual. ;) Can I ask if there is a social comment behind it, or was the inspiration the technical accuracy?

Thank you!

Yes there is a social comment behind it, but one between the viewer and the space depicted.
It isn't a black and white "this is bad" "this is good" judgement.
I'm attempting to envoke the seduction of colorful packages sitting neatly in the aisle combined with the anxiety of the warped, empty space.

In other words, it is what it is, and you get from it what you see in it.
Unfortunately, here you have to do it squinting at a tiny image on a screen :-\

What a great painting. All the shines are perfect and the shadows. I love it

Holy crap, that's incredible! Oh honey, I wish I could've seen this in person! I can only imagine its utter coolness.

As usual, I'm ridiculously impressed, awed, and proud to say "I know that girl, she's hot." ^_~
